Instruction

Step 1

Wash the Medjool dates under running water to clean them from any dirt. Pit the dates and put the dried fruits into the food processor. A high-speed blender or food processor is essential for this recipe since we work with nuts and dried fruits. This way, you get a creamy consistency with no chunks left. Blend the dates with 200ml water until you get an even smooth cream. Put the date cream aside.

Step 2

Roast the hazelnuts in a skillet lightly until the hazelnut smell intensifies—they should not get dark! This takes around 3 – 5 minutes with high heat. Put the hazelnuts into the food processor and blend until they stick to the walls. At this point, no big chunks should be visible.

Step 3

Add 5 tbsp of brown almond butter, a pinch of salt, and 5 tbsp of raw cocoa powder—blend everything until the goods become a smooth texture.

Step 4

Add the date cream to the blended nuts and cocoa powder in the food processor and mix everything until the consistency is to your liking—this can take up to 5 minutes.

Step 5

Put your healthy chocolate hazelnut spread into an airtight container and store it in the fridge (it can last up to three weeks in the refrigerator)
